Round 1 – Early Spring Application

Round 2 - Late Spring Application

• Pre-emergence herbicides to extend control for crabgrass and other summer annuals.
• Post-emergence herbicides to keep weeds from maturing.
• Balanced fertilizer application to help the lawn achieve a rich, green color.

Round 3 – Early Summer Application

• Balanced, slow-release granular fertilizer application to enhance the lawn’s color.
• Post-emergence herbicides to control weeds like crabgrass and nut grass.

Round 4 – Summer Application

• Balanced, slow-release granular fertilizer to maintain the lawn’s color.
• Post-emergence herbicides to control weeds like nut grass.

Round 5 – Late Summer Application

• Balanced, granular fertilizer to promote root development for fall and winter.
• Post-emergence herbicides for weeds as needed.

Round 6 – Fall Application

• Pre-emergence herbicides to control winter annuals.
• Post-emergence herbicides for weeds as needed.

Round 7 – Lime Application

• A lime application to raise the soil pH so next year’s fertilizer is more effective.
